Kajol was born of August 5th 1975 to Actress Tanuja and Director-Producer Shomu Mukherjee. Kajol is a Leo by birth and has a younger sibling Tanisha. Her cousins are the famous actress Rani, actor Monish Behl and Sharbani Mukherjee.
Kajol made her debut in Bollywood at a young age of sixteen in Rahul Rawail’s ‘Bekhudi’. It was however; ‘Baazigar’ which made Kajol a star overnight and her on-screen pairing with Shahrukh became a super hit. The pair was repeated in ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’.
